I totally agree Kathie. I am originally from South Africa and speak regularly with my family there. The time difference is not as big as with Australia but I rarely have a problem finding a convenient time to call.

As for the expense, Skype is fantastic both for PC to PC calls AND Skype to phone, (my dad is not very computer literate). The call quality can't be beat and the price is incredibly low (or free if it's PC to PC)

Hi Kathie,

This is Austin from Yugma (www.yugma.com). I would like to encourage you and your readers to take a few minutes to check out Yugma, our web conferencing and collaboration program. It could become an indispensable tool for virtual assistants like yourself! Check out one review about using Yugma in conjunction with Skype: http://www.voodooventures.com/2007/03/01/live-collaboration-nirvana-skype-yugma/
Our set of features is comprehensive and comes at a price that compares very favorably to others, and Yugma is completely focused on being extremely easy, inexpensive, and cross-platform compatible. In addition to having excellent service for Windows users, we’ve been getting great reviews for our ease of use and support for Mac users. We also recently launched support for Linux (8 versions supported), and will shortly be rolling out a Beta test for our upcoming VoIP feature. CNet recognized Yugma this year by selecting us as a finalist in its 2007 Webware 100 Awards.

Feature highlights:
- Extremely easy-to-use design
- Free service connects up to 10 people
- Premium services connect up to 500 people
- Real-time desktop sharing and collaboration
- Mouse and keyboard sharing
- Whiteboard and annotating tools
- Session recording and playback
- Real-time private and public chat
- Built-in file sharing
- Yugma can be embedded into any website or application
- No Spyware, Adware or Malware

I encourage you to try our service out. We currently offer 15 days of trial Premium Service, and our basic version is FREE forever. It allows you to invite up to 10 attendees, anytime. As you can see, the features and price are hard to beat! I hope you like what we’ve put together and that it can help you as a virtual assistant. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, we’d love to hear from you. Just email us at info@yugma.com. Thanks!

Best regards,
Austin Sponsel
