Posted by Kathie Thomas | Uncategorised | Monday 31 March 2008 8:23 am

Today marks the last day for my Virtual Assistant Giveaways spree to celebrate 14 years in business. There have been offers of books, web hosting and VA Coaching. This applies to VAs in any country so don’t make the mistake of thinking you are not eligible. If you are operating as a Virtual Assistant, or are in the process of setting up to operate as one, then all you need to do is subscribe to my blog and follow any other requirements on the various blog posts of the past week, and you could be picked to receive one of my anniversary gifts.

You have till the end of today to get your subscription in and if there was a requirement to register for one of the gifts, then please make sure you do that too. The lucky recipients will be announced in a couple of days.

My Anniversary Week – one more gift

I thought it would be good to finish off this week of anniversary posts with one more gift from me. Some of you will be aware that I also provide web hosting services. This grew out of a client’s need for support a few years ago – the host I was using at the time offered me a dedicated VDS so I could administer my client hosting accounts and maintain them on my own without having to wait for him to respond to support calls to set up new accounts. This was a good working partnership for me and I’ve been self-hosting my own sites and blogs and hosting many client and VA blogs ever since.

I’ve recently upgraded the system I’m using and increased the hosting services. That includes providing a special for Virtual Assistants. Again, I’d like to gift a year’s web hosting to one lucky VA. If you sign up as a subscriber to this blog by end 31st March you may be the lucky VA to receive this gift. If you register for web hosting during this period of time and are the lucky one chosen, then your payment will be refunded to you.

Are you a subscriber?

Readers will know that this week marks the 14th anniversary of my Virtual Assistant business. And a couple of days ago I announced that 6 of my readers will receive a free printed copy of one of my books.

Well, I decided that wasn’t enough and I thought it would be good if I gifted someone the 10 week VA Trainer course. The course is ideal for anyone planning to become a VA, or perhaps have only been in the industry a year or two and need to fill in some gaps about how a VA business is run. The full cost of the course is $695AUD but I would like to make an offer to those reading this blog a reduced rate for the course. And one lucky registrant will get the course free.

All you have to do is sign up here to register for the course. Payment of $395AUD ($300 saving) is due on registration but one lucky registrant will have their entire fee returned to them. You have till the end of this month, 31st March, to take up this special offer. I look forward to assisting many of you in getting your businesses moving forward.

My Anniversary but I have a Gift For You

Today (24th March) marks the 14th anniversary of my business “A Clayton’s Secretary”.

I have no idea where that time has gone. In some ways it just feels like last year I got started but when I look at all of my achievements, and some failings too, I can see I’ve come a long way in that time. So has technology.

What a privilege it has been to be part of the history making of the Virtual Assistant industry – that wasn’t in my original business plan :-) . My intention was to start a small business at home so I could be there for my 5 daughters.

Today I have a global business with clients in my own country and overseas, and a team of VAs now stretching into 17 countries. My family has grown too. No, not my blood related family, but the team of VAs I work and network with. I count many of them as family too – as I’ve advised, counselled, supported, encouraged, mentored and motivated many along the path of their own business development.

Since it is my anniversary I thought it would be good to give some gifts to my readers. 5 lucky readers will receive a copy of one of my books, which can be seen at the VA Shop on my main website. All you have to do is subscribe to my blog. Now, I know that this means current subscribers will miss out so I will choose one current subscriber to receive a gift too.

The closing date for you to be eligible for my anniversary gift is the end of this month, 31st March. So if you’re already a subscriber you don’t need to do anything at all, but if you’re not a subscriber you need to sign up at the left of my blog. You will receive a printed copy of the book of your choosing at the VA Shop – either from the books written by me (6 to choose from) or one of the books from my office (2 to choose from). Happy Anniversary!
