Virtual Assistant – THE Blog About Our Industry

About the Virtual Assistant industry for VAs and for clients

VAProject 52

I belong to a photography forum in my ‘spare’ time ;-) and one of the members there started Project 365 where those who wish to participate are required to post a new photo every day of this year.  So far there are 21 members participating and you can view their images here.

This led me to thinking that perhaps as Virtual Assistants we could set our sights on a project of some sort to help aid our businesses.  Doing something every day may be a big ask for most but I expect we could all do something on a weekly basis. So, enter VAProject 52.

For my part I intend to help one new VA a week and I will report back here on a weekly basis as to who I’ve helped and how.  I have loved this industry from its inception and the fact it has allowed me to be home for almost 16 years now.  So I want to give back to the community and help 52 VAs in one way or another.

What about you? Will you accept the VAProject 52 challenge?  What will you do to enhance your VA business or presence?  Let’s hear about them here.

Is this ever a cool idea. What really drives me is having a goal and being accountable for it. This is a great way to write it down and let others know how I’m fulfilling it.

My Project 52 will be as follows:
Twice a month I want to send two newsletters out. One being to VAs who want to know where to start in becoming a subcontractor. The second newsletter to all virtual businesses giving them feedback from users about helpful software packages to start or grow their business.

Kathie – I love the way you think! I already have my mission for the first week of Project 52 complete.

A beginning VA was questioning what should be included in a promotional package to be sent to prospective clients on http://vanetworking.com.

First, I listed all the items that I include in my package – so that others that are questioning this can have the list. Then, I took it one step further and emailed my Introductory Package to the new VA.

    Mission Accomplished!

Wow, what a great idea. I’m just beginning in the VA industry myself, and enhancing it is my goal for the year. Currently, I have only one regular client. My goal this week, is to search for more opportunities.

Maybe someone can help me with that. What’s the best way to look for new clients?

Also, even though I’m just starting and am currently limiting myself to those things I feel I’m most confident in – do I need a website?

I am enjoying the things I am learning from this site. Thanks for all the great info.
