At the beginning of January I announced a new community service for the VA industry.
I am thrilled to say that service is now in operation and it is called VANetwork News. The plan is that a weekly newsletter will go out to those interested in the VA industry. At this stage the newsletter will be monthly till it gains momentum, but already we have hints and tips for our next issue and the first one went out Monday this week. So we might even get an issue out in two weeks! We want you, the VA community, to contribute to this newsletter and make it something that everyone will want to read.
I’ve seen a similar process take place for both the Speaking industry and the Writer’s industry and have looked at these two models to gain ideas for the VA industry. Suggestions and feedback are encouraged and welcomed so we can make this a useful resource for all. They can be given in at the VANetworkNews website.
At the moment there are two Editors – myself in Australia and Carmen MacDougall from the UK, who is the Business Development Manager and VA Trainer for the International Association of Virtual Assistants (IAVA.org.uk) and also the president and founder of the National VA Conference & Awards now in the UK. I’m delighted she has come on board to share this role for a newsletter that is for the industry by the industry.
We also welcome service and product providers to the industry to place advertisements or become sponsors for the newsletter which will help cover costs for advertising and maintaining the newsletter.
