Being in business is tough any time. You have to wear multiple hats, or be able to employ sufficient people to wear all those hats: CEO/Owner, marketer & promotions/PR, bookkeeper, database manager, worker, and so it goes on.
I still hear from those who have been operating a Virtual Assistant business entirely on their own, unaware there is a whole industry out there, of peers whom they could be connecting with to learn from and share. It would seem that some are so busy inside their businesses that they haven’t taken the time to stick their heads up and see what’s out there.
On a forum I heard again from another VA who has only just discovered the VA industry and its forums although she’s been operating as a VA for over a year. She just didn’t know there was a name for it.
If you (or someone you know) is operating a business support service online and you (or the person you know) feels very much they’re doing it on their own, then why not come join our Virtual Assistants International Group forum? We have over 1400 Virtual Assistants (operating or wannabes) from many different countries all over the world, participating in the chats, learning from each other, encouraging one another and sharing ideas and thoughts.
There is no need to feel like you’re on your own – in the comfort of your (home) office you could be sharing your VA experience with many (new) friends and feel part of a wider community.

It’s good to know that there’s such a group organized for VAs around the globe. I would love to be part of it. Thanks for the tip.

It really is great that VAs can have a place to mingle and share tips about the trade.
