With everything that’s been going on in the past few months (AVAC, a holiday, my husband’s accident and the list goes on) I’ve not been as active here as I normally would be and haven’t been telling you everything that’s been going on.
IVAA has set up an Australian division to give Australian VAs a not-for-profit that has their industry at heart. As IVAA has already gone the rounds in the US with managing an NFP identity for our industry, they are well placed to do the same here.
I am happy to let you know that I’ll be heading this division for a while and already have a small band of Australian VAs who have put up their hand to help us manage the division here. IVAA.org will be behind everything we do but we want to have events here and run things so that those here in Australia can join in and participate and benefit – rather than in the wee hours of the morning or very late at night.
Some will have seen the announcement when we were chatting about AVAC and what took place there but I want to keep you in the picture. If you haven’t joined IVAA (International Virtual Assistants Association) which is a long running IVAA organisation, why not check them out today?
Everyone who joins as a ‘regular’ member, through June 30, 2011, will receive $10 off their 2011 Online Summit registration as well as a copy of the audio from the 2010 Online Summit panel discussion, “Pricing Your Services in a Down Economy!” We are so excited to offer this opportunity to new regular members – spread the word.
We have a twitter presence too IVAAOz
