and anyone else interested.
The new course? How to use WordPress to create blogs and websites. This is something I’ve had requested a few times and so here it is, available at last!
Many readers will know that I’ve been blogging now for several years and that WordPress is my preferred blogging platform. They will also know that WordPress is now an excellent software program for CMS (Content Management System) sites. Clients can login and edit their pages and add new ones, upload images and publish. Simple! And they don’t have to worry about the template and backend stuff – their VA can do that for them. And many VAs want to learn how.
So, enter the WordPress Course for Virtual Assistants and along with that a competition. If you would like to receive this course free then please leave your comment below with no more than 25 words why you would like to do this course. A winner will be announced next week. And for those who aren’t the lucky winner, you will have access to this course at half price until end of 12th October (which is my birthday). I’m feeling generous!

Hi Kathie
Very interested in the course. How is it done, online or distance? And approximately how long do you think it will take to finish the course?
Regards
Fiona
Kathie Thomas says
Thanks for asking Fiona. It’s a short course that requires practical application. Meaning it talks you through the process of registering a domain, setting up a webspace with a host, how to install WordPress and then setting up a site, searching for and installing themes and adding content, data and images.
I expect if you went from from start to finish in one hit you could realistically have your own site up and operative within a 3-5 hour timeframe and have a good idea of what you need to do.

I’ve had to get my brother to do mine. I’m just starting out as a VA and the more I learn now the better!

As a new Virtual Assistant and beginning my business, I would love to learn this not only for my own purposes but for potential clients.

This course sounds great! I’ve inherited a site set up this way and am trying to learn my way around. I could use the jumpstart.

Hi Kathie,
As a new VA, have been waiting for my ‘developer’ to do wordpress site since April! Hence, would prefer to learn the ins/outs myself.

Hi Kathie, I did email you expressing an interest in this & querying the method of delivery. Not sure if you got my email? I manage a couple of WP sites but haven’t set one up etc & seems like an ideal opportunity to learn how. Thanks Kirsty
Kathie Thomas says
No, I’m sorry I didn’t Kirsty. The course is delivered via email, self-paced – you work at your own speed.
