There are VAs who specifically support Realtors in the day-to-day running of their businesses. It’s much more prevalent in the US than here in Australia, however there are VAs here who do support Real Estate agents. And I believe this is slowly growing. I’ve begun supporting a local agent recently and am learning about their systems, as well as advising on things they haven’t yet ventured into, such as social media.
What type of things can a VA do for a Real Estate Agent? These are just a few of the things:
- Daily Tasks
- Return calls
- Set appointments
- Implementing Office Procedures and Systems
- Internet and Direct Marketing
- Assist with signboard preparation
- Organise advertisements in local newspapers
- Listing Coordination
- Marketing Implementation
- Newsletters
- Prepare presentations
- Set up Referral Campaigns
- Search Engine Optimisation
- Social Networking – Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter
- Website Creation and Maintenance
If you’d like to know more about being a VA for a Real Estate Agent, then perhaps REVA is a good place to start.

Great post. I found you via a Google alert that I have running for ” real estate ” so your posts are certainly getting found by the big G.
I own a real estate agency in Australia called PropertyNow and we are always seeking to automate whatever we can , without losing our strong customer service ethic. Keep this info coming and I will keep listening. Thanks – Andrew

Hi Kathie,
I’d love to learn more about becoming a Real Estate VA, but all the training people mentioned at REVA – their links don’t work! Do you know of any training that is out there that is up and running?
Thanks,
Connie Sheppard
