At long last, we have an NFP setting up here in Australia for the Virtual Assistant Industry. And I am delighted that IVAA has taken this direction. This announcement was published shortly before AVAC but I was rather busy to post it at that time. Details below:
IVAA-Australia – in our ongoing efforts to expand our International reach, IVAA will have a division in Australia allowing our members down under to have their own EOM’s, Peer Discussions, Online and Live Summits, and Preferred Partners, geared around their specific needs, topics and speakers, as well as, timing more in tune with the area.
While they will still be an integral part of, and supported by IVAAs Bylaws and Code of Ethics, anything offered through IVAA-Australia as a benefit of membership, will also be available to any other IVAA member, no matter where in the world they are located.
Longtime member Kathie Thomas will be taking the reins and will be looking for volunteers to help her establish the programs and benefits that will best serve these members. This is a great time to get in on the ground floor of this exciting IVAA endeavor – if you know of an Australian VA who might be interested (they must be an IVAA member) in volunteering to help form this division, please contact Kathie Thomas – find out more at the Australian VA Conference and meet IVAA’s Marketing Director, Terri Orlowski, who will be on hand at the conference with more information about IVAA!
For more information or if you have questions, please contact the President at: [email protected].
And you can also contact me about it. I was delighted to host Terri while she was here in Australia and got to show her some true Australian countryside and animal/birdlife before we got involved in the Australian VA Conference, for which she’d come. IVAA was a major sponsor and timed the announcement of IVAA’s entry into our country for the conference.
