As you know, photography is a passion of mine…. and it occurs to me this would make another great niche for a Virtual Assistant. What kind of things would photographers need assistance with?
- Diary management of bookings
- Database management of existing and prospective clients
- Cataloguing of images
- Setting up and ordering photobooks
- Promotion and marketing through ezines, newsletters, blogs, Facebook, etc
- Assisting photographers with setting up Twitter and Linkedin profiles
- Maintaining their website and blog
Of course there are probably many other things that can be done, but this is a good start. So, if you know a professional photographer who may be struggling with their admin needs, why not approach them to see if you can become their VA and assist them in their business?

Kathie,
I love this idea. What better way to enhance your enjoyment of your business then to specialise in an area that you are passionate about. I specialise in helping the fitness industy, especially personal trainers. I love keeping fit and am finding that I’m loving that my work in leaning in this direction. The possiblities are endless are areas that us VAs can specialise in. I feel I’m a better VA in this area as I’m so interested in it.

Hi friends,
Time flexibility is one main reason anyone might want to work virtual assistant working at home. Or you might want to run your own franchise if you’d rather be a boss than work for someone else at home as a virtual assistant. Thanks a lot.
Kathie Thomas says
Boy, do you have it wrong ‘Virtual Assistant’. VAs are self-employed business owner/operators – not registered with franchises and not engaged as employees. They do work from their own homes, yes, but not employed by someone else. Rather they work for clients. They may, however, register with VA networks to learn from each other and to gain more clients – the networks are not franchises.
No wonder the general public is confused out there, when others who claim to be virtual assistants give out the wrong message.

Yeah there are definitely penty of tasks that could be handled by a virtual assistant. Anything to do with marketing is obviously a great place to start – photographers in generaly tend to struggle with this more than your average business owner.
